What this instrument depicts

This computed method applies parallel line-integral projections and back-projection to a synthetic hidden density. Fidelity is the Pearson correlation between the running reconstruction and the known synthetic truth. The tomography mathematics is computed, but the input is synthetic rather than physical laser or scanner data.

How to use + read it

Drag to choose an angle and select Ping, or use Sweep to collect multiple angles. Compare filtered and unfiltered back-projection, optionally reveal the known truth, adjust object complexity, or Reset. Read the ping count and fidelity: sparse angles produce streaks, while broader angular coverage improves the result within the grid, bin, and filter resolution—not to perfection.
