Instrument 008 · the read, made real
The one that actually computes. A synthetic hidden object sits in the arena. Ping it from more angles — each return is a line-integral projection, and the instrument back-projects them into a reconstruction. A few angles give a streaky guess; denser angular coverage improves it. The method is computed tomography, and fidelity is measured against the known synthetic object.
When the chosen fidelity is reached, the object shows a workable silhouette — a shape you can act on, not a perfect copy.
