What this instrument depicts

This finite numerical simulation advances two trajectories whose starting positions differ by epsilon through a square billiard. With the circular scatterer present, their sampled paths can separate and enter different coarse cells. The displayed rate is a finite-time divergence proxy, not a fitted Lyapunov exponent or an entropy measurement.

How to use + read it

Set the initial gap, compare Scatterer off and on, then select Release. Read separation in multiples of epsilon, the divergence proxy, the matched-or-lost state, and the log-separation plot against path length. Reset before starting another comparison.
