Instrument 005 · the sampled connection
We shoot 256 sampled rays forward from the entry and highlight the one that passes closest to the read; the backward cloud repeats the search from the other end. Drag either point. With dispersion off, the sampled aim curve is comparatively smooth. Turn dispersion on and the finite sample becomes jagged and can reshuffle under a small nudge. The instrument reports the best sampled path, not a guarantee that an exact connecting orbit was found.
